Tryout Info

• We are holding tryouts for Boys and Girls teams, Grades 4 through 11. Tryouts are based on your player's current grade.
• Tryouts are held at Ohio Sports Plus - 4140 Tuller Rd Suite 118 Dublin 43016
• Our Tryout Fee is $10. This is to be paid at the door, either via check written out to Ohio Sports Plus, or cash. A player can attend more than one tryout in their age group if they choose, but only needs to pay a one time tryout fee of $10.
• Walk-ins for tryouts are welcomed - you do not have to pre-schedule to attend. Tryout registration is online, and can be done in advance, or once you arrive to Ohio Sports Plus.
• Players in Grades 7-11 may only tryout once their school season is complete. Please attend or schedule a makeup tryout with OSP if the tryout times do not work for you.
• Parents/Guardians are only allowed to check-in players at the start of tryouts, and then must exit the gym - tryout spectators will not be allowed.
• We will hold an online meeting for parents/guardians to learn more about Ohio Sports Plus on February 2nd.  You can Register Here! for it.  Once we hold it, we will share a link of the recording.
• Players should bring enough water/beverages for the duration of the tryout. It is suggested to bring a ball to tryouts, though we will have basketballs to use as well. 
• Tryouts will be for ~75 minutes this year, and will consist of a combinations of drills and scrimmaging.
• Players only need to attend ONE TRYOUT for their age group
• If your player cannot make their age group's tryout, contact our AAU Director at basketball@ohiosportsplus.com to see a makeup tryout.

FAQ

• The cost to participate on a Spring AAU team, if selected, is $600. This includes practice two nights a week, 5 weekend tournaments, a uniform, and shooting shirt.
• Practices for teams start in March, and practices are two days a week, typically Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs. Practice locations are in Dublin and Columbus.
• Tournament schedules are finalized once teams are assembled, as our coaches do their best to work with player availability.
• For the most part, the tournaments are played within a 1 hour radius of Columbus area.

2025 Ohio Sports Plus AAU Tryouts Begin Saturday, February 8th!

Seeking: 2025 AAU Basketball Coaches

Interested in coaching basketball this spring (2025)? Consider leading an AAU Basketball team with Ohio Sports Plus. Coaches are volunteers with our organization, but we do provide a stipend to assist with your travel over the course of the spring. We are seeking girls and boys coaches to lead teams in our program.

Coaching Responsibilities include:

• Attend tryouts and evaluate players
• Offer players roster spots on your team
• Submit a full roster and player information to the AAU Director
• Lead practices twice a week from early March to mid May
• Coach your team at 5 weekend tournaments in the Columbus metro area over the course of the spring season
